Professionally, I'm a Board Certified & Nationally Certified Counselor who specializes in women's mental wellness & maternal mental health. I hold master’s degrees in elementary education & clinical mental health counseling, with additional training in advanced perinatal psychotherapy and adult’s with childhood trauma. At the beginning of my professional counseling work, I interned for two consecutive years with a woman owned psychiatric practice. This experience provided me with the unique opportunity to learn about perinatal & postpartum disorders from different clinical perspectives, and collaborate closely with a psychiatric provider on client care. Since then, I have worked with a variety of clients including men, women, couples, and led therapy groups.

Personally, I’m a mom of three, and I know what it can feel like to navigate the expectations, transitions, and invisible demands so many women carry. I understand the exhaustion of being in the trenches with young children, the grief that can come with loss and change, and the complexity of trying to care for a family while trying not to lose yourself in the needs of everyone around you. It has been and continues to be a process with the support of my own therapy.

My own therapeutic work has been one of the most valuable experiences I’ve had the privilege of engaging in. It’s helped me develop a deep trust of myself and stay connected to myself through seasons that asked a lot of me. It has shaped the way I’ve come to understand healing: an ebb and flow of turning toward younger parts of ourselves and introducing them to the newest version of who we are . A return and emergence, in many ways it’s a perpetual becoming. It has deepened my respect for what becomes possible when we are accompanied by someone steady and committed, someone who believes in the potential of who we are becoming before we are able to believe it for ourselves.

Navigating my own process and growth refines my ability to provide precise treatment and support for the overall mental well being of women. It’s also helped me develop a deep compassion for those in relationship with women, allowing me to genuinely empathize with experiences different than my own.

I’m glad you found your way here.

I’m deeply committed to learning about the systems in place that perpetuate the barriers women face; and to learning about new ideas and methods of treatment to combat these issues. I believe that the work we do in the therapy room is a collective way to advocate for the needs of women as a whole. Cultivating safety, increasing self worth, and building confidence inside each woman, ultimately empowers her to use her voice and execute the change she needs and wants.

Collectively, these voices are loud and the execution is power. Giving women the experience of their voice being heard and validated is my life’s work. My hope is that work will translate to a world where women know the value & power in their voice and not be afraid to use it  - that is the change I wish to see in the world.
